Dad's Chili
You and your good grades!! Show Off!!!
My Dad always made the chili for our family. It was always made in the mornings prior to us eating, so no one ever got to watch him make it. This is a recipe that I have put together from the bits and pieces I could get from my Dad’s brother Jerri. It’s probably as close as we are ever going to get to Dad’s own recipe.
8 cups of homemade pinto beans with juice
2 lbs. 93 % lean hamburger
2 medium to large onions – chopped
1- 28 oz can of Rotel Original
2 cups Beef Stock
1 – 27 oz. can of whole green chilies chopped
1 Tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1 Tablespoon minced garlic
2 teaspoon hot pepper sauce
3 Tablespoons chili powder
1 Tablespoon dried oregano
2 teaspoon ground cumin
1 teaspoon dried basil
1 teaspoon kosher salt
1 teaspoon ground black pepper
1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1 teaspoon paprika
1 teaspoon white sugar
